- How do I start an estimate?
- Sign in and choose New Estimate. Enter the customer and job details, measure each room or surface, pick the paint for walls, ceiling, and trim, then review the totals. FieldCoat works out coats, gallons, labor, and price as you go, and turns the result into a proposal you can send.
- How does the iPhone scanner work, and what does it need?
- FieldCoat Scan uses your iPhone camera and LiDAR sensor to measure a room as you walk it. LiDAR is only built into Pro-model iPhones, so the scanner needs one. The finished scan is sent to your own FieldCoat account and becomes a draft estimate you can edit.
- How does my customer receive and sign a proposal?
- You send the proposal from the estimate, and your customer gets a private link. They open it on their phone, review the scope and price, choose between options if you offered any, and sign on the screen. You are notified as soon as it is signed.
- How do payments work?
- Payments are processed by Stripe. You can request a deposit when the proposal is signed, and the money goes to your own connected Stripe account. FieldCoat never holds your funds and never sees full card numbers.
- How do I cancel my subscription?
- Open Settings and cancel from the billing section. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you are not billed again. Your data stays in your account.
- How do I delete my account and my data?
- Email support@fieldcoatapp.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We remove the account and its business data — customers, jobs, estimates, and photos — and confirm by email when it is done.
FieldCoat Scan (iPhone app)
FieldCoat Scan measures rooms with the iPhone camera and the LiDAR sensor, so you can walk a space instead of writing down tape measurements. LiDAR requires a Pro-model iPhone. Every scan is sent to the user's own FieldCoat account, where it becomes a draft estimate ready to price and edit.
