FieldCoat LLC — Privacy Policy

FieldCoat LLC ("FieldCoat," "we," "us") provides software for painting contractors, including estimating, proposals, customer management, and job management. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Questions: support@fieldcoatapp.com.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, company details you provide when you create an account.
  • Customer and job data: information contractors enter about their own customers and projects (names, contact details, addresses, project details) so the service can work.
  • Payment information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.
  • Usage data: log and device information used to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Signature records: when a customer accepts a proposal, we record their name, the date and time of acceptance, and the IP address of the device used. This is kept as evidence that the proposal was accepted, and is not shown to anyone other than the contractor who sent it.

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

We use information to provide and operate the service; to generate and deliver estimates, proposals, and notifications on a contractor's behalf; to bill subscriptions; to provide support; to improve the product; and to comply with law.

SHARING

We use service providers (such as hosting, payment processing, and communications providers) to run FieldCoat, under obligations of confidentiality. We do not sell personal information.

TEXT MESSAGING (SMS) PRIVACY

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for text messaging consent are used solely to deliver the messages described below.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

  • What we send: proposal follow-ups, appointment reminders, and job updates sent by painting contractors to their own customers through FieldCoat.
  • Consent: recipients opt in by checking a consent box ("OK to text me about this project") when a contractor creates their estimate; consent is stored with a timestamp. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.

We retain information while an account is active or as needed to comply with law, then delete or de-identify it. We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information.

FieldCoat is business software and is not directed to individuals under 18.

CHANGES

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change when we do. Material changes will be communicated through the service.
